Integration of software involves a number of critical steps. The list below gives a general overview of the integration process and is meant as general information only.
If you operate an existing system which does not provide the functions available in our system and would like to find out if the functions we provide can be integrated with or into your existing system contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Discovery and information session between the parties wishing to integrate
Application Architecture - Review and documentation of (software) application architecture
Business Requirements – Understand and document business requirements for the adaptor and authorization engine
Identity Key (ID Key) – Determine the ID key required to link the unique applications
Data Repositories – Determine internal or external data repositories that the application will need to access. Internal data repositories are internal to your existing software, external data repositories are external to your existing software (e.g., RFIDAMS Database)
APIs/ Required data fields – Besides the ID Key, what other fields are required for the data authorization process?
User Workflow – Determine and document the expected user workflow based on the business requirements
Project Schedule – Determine activities and a timeline for the integration
Development – Develop code for adaptor and authorization engine to enable data integration between the systems
Security – Establish security requirements to ensure data integrity is maintained in the independent systems and through the data transfer process
Migrate and Test– Migrate and test the integration ensuring expected outcomes are achieved
Handle Errors – Correct/modify code to eliminate Error messages (error rules established in the adaptor and authorization code to assist in the resolution of data integration issues e.g. missing data, incorrect data formats etc)
Review – Routinely review event logs and ensure integration errors are managed in an appropriate manner
